We bet you didn’t know we have team members in Canada, did you, eh? Meet Cory Hawkes, our Yardi Breeze customer service manager based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. (Not sure where that is? Check out this map.)
Cory has been at Yardi for more than eight years now. He’s an avid curler and – go figure – super nice guy. Keep reading to learn a little more about him.
What do you like best about your job?
Definitely the people I work with every day. Getting a chance to know and work with people in other Yardi offices is something I really like about this job.
Do you speak any other languages? If so, which ones?
I can read French and somewhat speak it if the other person is patient with me. I did take some Spanish courses, so I can talk about clothes and fruits pretty well ?.
How do you like to spend your free time?
In the winter, I spend almost all my free time curling! I am on a competitive curling team and play four to five times a week for sure.
What is the most interesting place you’ve ever traveled?
Romania has probably been the most interesting place I have travelled. Cluj, where we have a Yardi office, was such a cool city, and the people there were amazing!
What is your favorite movie of all time and why?
I love going to movies and have so many that I love, one of my favorites though is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. We watch it every year over the holidays with family.
What is one thing on your bucket list?
If I ever have enough money, I would take a year and go to all the major sports championships – the Stanley Cup, Super Bowl, Grand Slam, etc.
What is your favorite food?
Pizza and Mexican food are definitely my weaknesses!
