We’re excited to introduce you to Vanessa Edet! She joins the Yardi Breeze Premier team as a sales executive in from our fast-growing London office. We asked Vanessa a range of questions so you could get to know her more.
What is your role at Yardi?
I’m a sales executive at Yardi. I joined the company in November 2020 and have enjoyed working with such a wonderful team!
If you could jump on a plane right now, where would you go?
Peru. I’ve always wanted to travel solo around South America. The history, food, music, people, culture … it’s magnificent!
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
Super fast intelligence. Knowledge is power and I want to know everything!
What is your favourite thing to eat?
Cake. Desserts are my weakness.
You can invite three celebrities for dinner. Who would they be and why?
Michelle Obama: A brilliant woman who graduated first from Princeton , then Harvard. She went on to become a lawyer, author and philanthropist and raise two wonderful children. She is an inspiration, and I’d love to persuade her to mentor me!
Tom Jones: An icon with a rock and role past, who now appears to have aged into a charming, endearing man. I think he would bring humour, wisdom and a few little secrets to the dinner.
Editor: That’s … unusual!
Amal Clooney: Not only married to one of the most desired men (George Clooney) but is also an author and barrister in international law and human rights. She is a force in her own right. I think she would be a wonderful addition to my dinner party!
Editor: Aha! But not Alan Partridge?
If you could only listen to one album and watch one film forever, what would they be?
I love jazz and soul music, so it would probably be an album by Jill Scott, The Light of the Sun.
Choosing just one movie is hard, as there are so many favorites. But I will choose a film I have always loved, The Great Debaters. It’s a true story showing humor, drama and love.
What’s your favorite mobile app?
Audible. I love reading, and Audible means I can now listen to books while I exercise and run errands.
